-:Aurangabad tourist places:-
If you have planned to visit Elora and Ajanta Caves then i have one more short plan for you to visit historic city which is also a district place of India named "Aurangabad".
There are several tourist places around Aurangabad that deserves a little more crowd of visitants.
All these places are at short distances from one another, so its only a day needed to visit most of them. I assure you it will worth to visit these places.
1) AURANGABAD CAVES :-
This place has total 12 caves showcasing budhhist culture.
cave number 1 and 3 of aurangabad cave are little similar with last cave of Ajanta. by careful studies historians says that cave 3 was earlier to cave 1. Again cave 3 artists surprisingly designed frameworks, scrolls, flowers, geometrical shapes and many beautiful arts on basalt rocks.
Out of all twelve caves, cave 3 and 7 are most fascinated ones. Cave number 6 showcases a woman with some exotic hairstyles and beautiful ornamentation. Huge arts of lord Ganesha and Budhha are preserved in this cave.
2) BIBI-KA-MAQBARA:-
It was built by Azam Shah (son of Aurangazeb) in memory of his mother in 1678. On entrance door its mentioned that this huge mausoleum was designed by Hanspat Rai, an engineer and Ata Ullah, an architect.
3) DEVGIRI FORT:-
At about 15 kilometers from Aurangabad on the way to Ellora caves. The history of Deogiri goes back to 12th century, When it was the capitals of Hindu kingdoms in the decan and was called Dev-giri, The hill of Gods.
Devgiri Fort was constructed by King Bhillamraj of Yadav dynasty.
4) H2O WATER PARK :-
Located just beside Devgiri Fort. This place is a full day enjoy with your family. This is worth going place with very reasonable priced entry passes of approx 250 rupees and Exciting rides and facilities.
Ghrishneshwar/Ghrushneshwar Temple has importance in Hindu Shrines as it is one of twelve Jyotirlinga mentioned in Shiv-Purana. This temple lies at distance of 30 kilometers from Aurangabad city. The temple is made of red rocks.
Lakhs of peoples from nearby villages walks by road to the temple on auspicious occasions like Hanuman Jayanti and Ram Navami. Lord Hanuman is known for their massive powers and strength.
5) GHRISHNESHWAR TEMPLE :-
Ghrishneshwar/Ghrushneshwar Temple has importance in Hindu Shrines as it is one of twelve Jyotirlinga mentioned in Shiv-Purana. This temple lies at distance of 30 kilometers from Aurangabad city. The temple is made of red rocks.
6) BHADRA MARUTI TEMPLE :-
The Bhadra Maruti Temple is one of the popular tourist attractions near Aurangabad. This temple is dedicated to Hindu deity "Hanuman".
Lakhs of peoples from nearby villages walks by road to the temple on auspicious occasions like Hanuman Jayanti and Ram Navami. Lord Hanuman is known for their massive powers and strength.
7) MHAISMAL HILL STATION :-
Mhaismal is a beautiful hill station located at about 40 kilometers from Aurangabad and which is situated at an altitude of 1067 meters. This place has beautiful hill station and holy Balaji Temple. Most of the tourists visits this destination during monsoon when whether turns mild and bright green.
All the places i mentioned above are on simple route from Aurangabad to Ellora. To visit all these places it takes a run of only 80 kilometers, that means its your full day joy trip. Private Vehicles are available to visit these places from Aurangabad city at affordable fares.
